We are deeply saddened by the passing of our esteemed colleague Dr. Carole R. Mendelson on February 12, 2023. Dr. Mendelson was an important contributor to Women in Endocrinology and served as a President of WE from 2002 to 2004. In addition to her many scientific contributions to the field of Endocrinology, Dr. Mendelson was also an exemplary mentor, catalyzing the success of many scientists and trainees. For her outstanding service as a mentor, she was recognized with the Women in Endocrinology Mentor Award.
